Episode 1.07

Hallow Hills

Kip turned his key in the main door of the house and walked in. He tossed his keys on the table by the door and climbed the steps before retreating to his room. Once inside he moved to the far side of his bed and opened the nightstand revealing a hidden mini-fridge. He took out a bottle of vodka and opened it. Bringing the bottle to his mouth he began to chug the alcohol, looking for a way to remove the pain and guilt he felt.

Pinõn Hallow Police Department

“Lane get in here now!” called Chief Becker from his office.

Siobhan cringed as she heard the bellowing as she entered the squad room. She put her files on the Brighton Simpson murder down on her desk and went into his office. “Yes Chief?”

“Siobhan, we’re giving the Simpson murder to Cramer, we need you on a different case.” He told her from behind the desk.

“What case?” she asked as he picked up a file and tossed it to her.

“A young woman was raped in the park last night. She was knocked unconscious and didn’t see her attacker. She was then found by her boyfriend and that damn delivery boy.”

Siobhan looked up, “How does that kid always end up discovering crimes?”

Becker shook his head, “No idea, but the victim was found unconscious and brought to the hospital, where the doctors did a rape kit. Her name is Pam Mitchell, she’s young goes to the college.”

When Siobhan heard the name she felt all the color drain from her face, “I know her, she lives down the hall from me.”

“You’re the best Detective for this investigation Siobhan, and the Simpson murder seems to have no suspects now that Chad Davis was ruled out. We need you on this one, we need to find this rapist before they strike again.” Becker said as he sat down in his desk chair shaking his head.

“I’ll start right away Chief.” She said taking the file and going back into the squad room.

The Country Club

A long black limo pulled up to the front entrance of the Pinõn Hallow Country club. As the Valet opened the door, Doug Davis stepped out. He looked around as he adjusted his Armani suit before taking his brief case into the building with him. He walked past the other members that where whispering about him as he made his way to the dining room.

As he looked around the grand room he spotted his beloved diva wife Adel sitting going over some report. She was so engrossed with business that she had no idea that the entire room was gossiping about them as he walked over and sat down.

“Good Morning Adel.” He said as he put his briefcase down on the floor and picked up a menu.

She stopped and looked up and saw Doug. A smile crossed her face, larger then she would ever intend for him. “Well Doug, what is it that actually brought you back to town, your latest French fling pull the pregnancy bit?”

Doug shook his head; he never understood why Adel always accused him of having affairs. Perhaps it was the only way that she could rationalize that he left town so much. “Adel, you know my deal in Paris is done. So of course I came home, this is where I live, this is where you are, my wife—the woman I love.” He said as he looked at her trying to get her to see the love he had for her in his eyes.

Hallow Hotel—Bethany’s room.

As she walked out of the bathroom, wrapping her robe around herself she went over to the nightstand and picked up the locket. “What is so special about you?” she asked as someone knocked at the door.

“Who is it?” she called out as she put the locket down and then went to the door.

Bethany, its Conner let me in.” He said before she opened the door and he was face to face with the woman who had once had his heart.

“Conner, what are you doing here?” she asked as she pretended to be embarrassed that she was in her robe.

He sighed, after having thought about it all night he realized he had to give Bethany this chance or he might loose Maggie forever, “I want you to come home, I want us to try again Bethany.” He said as he played the role of a man in love with her as his hands reached up to touch her hair.

Bethany was really surprised by this, she thought this would take weeks to happen, “You do?”

Conner nodded, “Yeah, its only fair to you and Lysa, and to me. We have to try right?”

Hallow Hills Pool House

Chad walked into the pool house with a towel wrapped around his body. He went over to the coffee table that sat in the center of the room and opened up his laptop and started typing. He rubbed his hands together as a smile crossed his face, “Well, well Bethany you certainly have been a busy girl.”

Hallow Hills Kip’s Room

The bottle of vodka was now empty and Kip stared at it for several moments, which to him seemed like hours. His eyes were focused on the glass twist in the center before throwing it at the wall and falling back on the bed.

Hallow Hotel

Conner waited in the parking lot as Bethany paid her bill. He hated this, but Maggie was right he had to at least give her a chance to prove she wanted to be a mother to Lysa. He knew in his heart she had no chance of getting him back, and that she probably didn’t want him back at all.

As she came out she moved to the passenger side of his car and they got in before leaving the motel. They were silent in the car as they drove down the road towards Pinõn Peaks.

The Pool House

Chad looked at the print out he had on Bethany and smiled, “I’ll make you mine Bethany, you can count on that. Last night was not the last time I’ll feel you in my arms.” He then picked up his cell phone and hit some keys before speaking, “Benton? Its Davis, I need you to do a quick background check on Bethany McKay, and while you’re at it do one on Conner McKay. . . Thanks, yeah call me at my cell phone.” He said before flipping it closed and dropping it on his couch.

The Country Club

Adel sighed when she looked up again and saw that Doug was still their, “What is it you want Doug?”

He looked at her and smiled, “To know what color your gown will be for the ball.” He said as he took out a pad.

“Silver.” She said as she went back to her paperwork.

He looked confused, “what flowers would go with that?”

“Why are you asking me these things?”

“I want to make sure the night is everything you want it to be.” He told her as he took hold of her hand, “I want us to work things out Adel.”
