Episode 2.09

Williams Home

Maggie and Larry sat at the kitchen table, each clinging to a cup of coffee as Ariel led Cassie into the room and to the empty seat at the table.

Cassie yawned, “What’s going on? Can’t this wait until like tomorrow. I’m still half asleep.”

Larry sighed, “It can’t wait Cass, you know Dr. Allison Cramer that was here yesterday?”

Cassie nodded, “So what, Oh Mags I swear I didn’t like write to her and ask her to come talk to you.”

Maggie took a long, slow, sip of her coffee, “I know that Cassie that’s not what this is about, well not fully.”

“What am I missing?” she asked.

Maggie looked at her father and he nodded, “Well Cass, Dr. Cramer is, she’s. God I don’t want to say this Daddy!”

Larry sent Maggie a warning look, “Cassie, that was your mother that was here last night.”

Cassie shook her head, “No, that can’t be true. Why, would she have come back after all this time? No it can’t be the same woman, Dr. Cramer also has a little boy, and her book bio said so.”

Larry looked down into his coffee mug, “That’s you’re half brother. Allie is bringing him by later today so you and Maggie could meet him.”

Cassie ran her hand through her messy bed hair, “So are we just suppose to sit here and let her back into our lives with some brother she never let us know about.” Cassie asked as she looked for an answer from her father and sister.

Maggie looked down at her cup, “Daddy wants us to try Cass. Besides no matter what Mom did, our Brother isn’t part of that. At least not a guilty part.”

“One question though, is he our half brother or our full brother?”

Larry looked over at Ariel, his eyes in someway saying he was sorry, “He’s you’re full brother, my son. She lied to me about having the last miscarriage before we divorced.”

Dan and Abby’s Apartment

Ciel took a long slow breath and she took the envelope out of her bag and placed a piece of tape on it. She looked at the loving script that had written his name, before she pressed the tape on the surface of the door. She thought about knocking and running away. Leaving him like the coward she turned out to be.

She ran her fingers over the letters a moment and then walked away from the man she had just night declared her never-ending love.

Love and Honor Set

Ophelia James stepped out of the Cab and hoisted her bag over her shoulder, her eyes set upon one of the biggest houses she had ever seen. She was greeted by a seriously over hyper Wink Montana, “Ophelia James, its good of you to accept our invitation to join Love and Honor.”

“Thanks.” She said, “Um, what do I do now?”

Wink smiled, “Just go on inside and meet the other women.”

Ophelia nodded and stepped inside and saw all sorts of women. Some were tall, some short, some blond, some brunette, and a couple of redheads.

Trista came over, “Hi, its quite a site isn’t it?”

“Yeah it sure is. Gosh I wish I remembered why I did this.” Ophelia confessed as Trista led her deeper into the gaggle of women and over to Joan Vincent. “I found another one who wonders why there here.”

Joan laughed, “Hi I’m Joan and this is Trista.”

Ophelia smiled, “Ophelia, Nashville native, thankfully.”

Williams Home

Allie and Gary walked up the front path of the Williams house, “Mommy, are we really going to met my Dad?”

Allie nodded, “We sure are Gary, we’re also going to meet your big sisters Maggie and Cassie. Are you ready for this?”

“I don’t really have a choice, do I?” he asked as she rang the bell.

A moment later Maggie opened the door and coolly looked at her mother, “Mom,” she spoke and then looked down at the ten year old with her, “You must be Gary, I’m Maggie.”

Gary looked up at her, “Wow she is a big sister, how old are you?”

Maggie laughed, “I’m twenty-seven. Come on in, Daddy and Cassie are in the living room.”

Gary ran in and found Cassie and Larry sitting on the couch, a moment later Ariel brought in a pitcher of Lemonade. Gary was sitting in a chair across from his father and sister, “So does this mean that Mom and you are getting back together?” he asked.

Larry looked over at Ariel, “actually, I’m planning on getting married to Ariel.” He said.

Maggie almost choked on her drink when she heard that, “Well that answers a question I had. So Gary, tell me what do you do? Do you play any sports.

Gary nodded, “Yeah! I play basketball and baseball.”

“That’s great.” Cassie said, still processing everything from this morning, she couldn’t even imagine what was going through Gary’s mind.

Gary looked over at Allie, “Mom, what haven’t we been all together before?” “Yes Mom, why?” the girls asked in unison.

Larry just looked at Allie, wondering how she would answer this one.

“Well, I left your father because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to have Gary and well obviously I did. By then I realized it was too late and stayed away. I honestly thought it was better for all of you. I guess I was wrong.”

Maggie stood up, “You have no idea how wrong. Excuse me I need to pack my things; I have a flight to Nashville tomorrow. I need to get back to my husband.” She then walked out of the living room. Cassie looked at her mother, “It hurt Maggie the most, she thought you two had been so close and then one day you were gone. She ended up playing mom to me, while Aunt Patty got her involved in pageants. Which reminds me, I have an entry essay to write for one. Excuse me.”

After Cassie left, Allie looked at her ex-husband, “I messed up big time, didn’t I?”

Larry nodded, “You sure did. Allie, how could you keep Gary from me?”

“I thought I was protecting you and the girls. By the time I knew I wouldn’t miscarry, we were divorced.” She said sadly. “Its not how I wanted any of this to work out. Its just how it did work out. For that I’m sorry. I’m sure we can come to some sort of custody arrangement for Gary.”

“Oh don’t worry Allison, we’ll come to an agreement, I just don’t know if you’ll be thrilled.”

Love and Honor Set

“Alright Brock, this is the big moment. We’ve got Kevin and Jade mingling down there with the girls. So right now you’ll go down, charm them and then we’ll have Kevin and Jade eliminate the first ten girls. Are you ready for this?” Wink asked as she adjusted Brock’s tie.

“Yeah, I’m ready, as ready as I will ever be.” He said as he looked at himself in the mirror and then left and went downstairs, “Good Evening Ladies. I’m Brock Jensen, the bachelor that you’ve been sent to meet.”

Joan stood in the back of the room, her heart racing, her palms sweaty, as she saw her ex-fiancé. “Wow, he’s at least hot.” Ophelia said to her new friend.

“Yeah but that is only worth so much.” Trista said before taking a sip of champagne. “What matters are personality, and bank account.

“Yes well, no worry ladies. Brock Jensen is one of the wealthiest men in Nashville, if not the record industry.” Joan informed them.

“How do you know that?” Trista asked.

“Oh I read it in a magazine, I think.” Joan looked at Ophelia, “You’re the Nashville native, what do you know?”

Ophelia smiled, “That when Brock Jensen is looking for a lady he treats her well. He’s come into the bar I work at a few times. Funny, here I told my roommate Jade to go after him. She’s signed to his label. She is however a little obsessed with that man over there. Brock’s favorite music writer, Kevin Lane. Too bad he’s married.”

Trista thought for a moment, “He’s married to a woman named Maggie right?”

“Yeah, how did you know that?”

“Maggie used to live in my building before she moved to Nashville.”

Joan nodded, “It can be a very small world. You never know who’s connected to who.”

Dan and Abby’s Apartment

Abby walked into the living room and turned on the television, “Dan, that new reality show Love and Honor is about to start! Get your butt in here.” She said before going to the door to take out the trash when she saw the envelope on the door. “Daniel! Get out here now!” she called out once again.

“Gees Abs, I know you want to see this new show but for crying out loud.” He told her when he came in and saw her holding the envelope, “What’s that?”

She shook her head, “I don’t know, it has your name on it though.”

Dan took it from her and began to read it, “Ciel Left me, she’s going to marry Kensington.” He crumpled up the letter and threw it towards the bathroom. “I have to get out of here.”

“I understand.” Abby told him as she watched her heartbroken older brother walk out of their apartment.

Love and Honor Set

Joan escaped the cameras for a moment and found Wink Montana. She tugged on his sleeve, “I have to be eliminated tonight.” She told him.

“Why? It’s up to Kevin Lane and Jade Spencer, not me.” He told her proudly.

“Because I used to be engaged to Brock Jensen.” She in formed him.

Wink laughed, “I know, you’re staying in until Brock says you’re gone. Sadly tonight the choice isn’t his.”

Joan let out a huff and stormed back into the open set.

Pinõn Hallow Airport

“Well, our planes ready Ciel. Let’s go.” Arnold said as he put his arm around her waist.

“Alright, lets go. Ya know I thought he would try and stop me.” She said as she looked back into the crowd of people, none of them were Dan Adams.

“I know you thought that, but this just goes to show that you and I were meant to be.” He then led her down the ramp to the private plane.

A few minutes later it took off towards Chicago, taking Ciel Beaumont out of Dan Adams life forever.

Love and Honor Show

Wink entered the living area where all the girls were gathered and looked straight into the camera, “Good Evening America! Welcome to our new series Love and Honor. I’m Wink Montana, you’re host. This evening we’ll introduce you to Brock Jensen, a record executive from right here in Nashville. But first let me introduce two of his closets friends, Kevin Lane and Jade Spencer.”

Kevin and Jade then stepped out in front of the cameras, “Evening Wink.” Kevin said, feeling the nerves of having the camera on him.

“For our viewers at home,” Wink began, “I guess I should explain the next step, Kevin and Jade here have met all the girls here and will narrow it down from twenty five to fifteen, before Brock is introduced to you the American Public. So I leave this ceremony to you Kevin and Jade.”

Wink then looked at the girls and smiled, “Good luck to you all, I hope you receive a key.”

Kevin glanced at Jade and took a long, slow breath, “The first key goes to Joan.”

Joan came up and took the key and smiled, knowing that she would be gone once Brock saw her.

Jade picked up the second key, “This goes to Ophelia.”

Ophelia also came up and took the key.

Kevin and Jade listed off twelve more names, before holding the final key. Kevin stopped for a moment and smiled, as he looked out at all the girls, “The final key this evening goes to Trista.”

Trista came up and accepted the key, and smiled, “Thank you.”

Wink came back in front of the camera; “We’ll be right back after this commercial break, with Brock Jensen the Bachelor and clips of interviews with our fifteen remaining girls.”

Kyle’s Apartment

Siobhan and Kyle were sitting on his couch watching the show, “You’ve got to be kidding me. Why didn’t Kevin tell me he was going to be on TV?”

Kyle looked at Siobhan, “Is that all you care about? The fact that your brother is on TV and didn’t tell you? You don’t care that my girlfriend is there with that creepy record executive?”

Siobhan laughed, “Kyle you and Trista broke up, remember?”

Kyle frowned and glared back at the TV, “He better not try anything with her.”

“Well, look who’s jealous!”

“You are in such a mood, what happened? Becker finally kiss you?” Kyle asked with bitterness and sarcasm.

Siobhan blushed, “Actually Becker showed up last night and kissed me, a few times actually. That’s all that happened though.”

“Sure, I believe you.”

“It’s the truth. Besides he’s still my boss.”
