Episode
3.21 [Valentine’s Day]
Ocean’s
apart day after day
And I slowly go insane
I hear your voice on the line
But it doesn’t stop the pain
Imagination
Clothing
Maggie sat
behind the counter, watching all the people passing by. It was sickening. Men rushing in and out of jewelry stores. Women
with Victoria Secret’s bags. Couples together, some were obviously on
first lunch dates, others long term relationships. She just felt sick. How
stupid was she being, denying herself love?
She stood
up and walked to the door, the only good thing was everyone was busy shopping
everywhere else, leaving the store virtually deserted.
If I see
you next to never
How can we say forever
Wherever you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you
Film Magic
Conner
looked around the store, “Eric take over register.” he called out as he went to
the door and looked. Couples. It had been a while
since he’d seen Maggie, talked to her about them.
Women had
been coming in all day and renting anything but romances; men had been renting
the romances. You could tell who was single and who was trying to impress
someone tonight.
A group of
college aged girls were wondering around the store, stealing glances at Eric,
but he didn’t seem to notice.
All Conner
could think of, was going next door and seeing Maggie.
I took for
granted, all the times
That I thought would last somehow
I hear the laughter, I taste the tears
But I can’t get near you now
Oh, can’t you see it baby
You’ve got me going crazy
JC
Keepsakes
“I really
like these rings.” Abby pointed to a set of simple gold bands in the case.
“I like
those as well.” Ethan stood next to her, his hand on her back.
“Well lets
get you sized and on your way. When’s the wedding?” the sales clerk asked.
Abby took a
slow breath as she looked up at Ethan, “This Friday evening.”
“Congratulations.”
the clerk told them as he began to size Ethan’s hand.
Wherever
you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you

Hills—The Nursery
“Oh Honey,
I know your hurt. But look at me.” She brushed his
dark hair out of his eyes, “Love is a very complicated thing. Sometimes it
takes time to get it right. Sometimes you never know when its
going to strike and when it does. My goodness you may never know how to deal
with what it throws at you. It all works out in the end.”
“You still
love Dad, don’t you?”
“He’s
cheated, lied, but I love him with my whole heart. No one has ever made me feel
the way Doug does.”
Adel looked
down at her grand children, “I hate to say this, but maybe that’s what she and
you were for. To wake you up, to find love again. A
real love, that won’t run to someone else’s arms.”
“Then give
her time.”
“I hope I
have it.”
Adel
smiled, “Love always has time.”
I wonder
how we can survive
This romance
But in the end if I’m with you
I’ll take the chance
Larry’s
Office
Ariel
walked down the hallway as she looked for Larry’s office. She tapped lightly on
the door and walked in. “Hey Lar.”
Larry
smiled as he looked up, “Ariel, what a surprise. What’s wrong?”
“Nothing, I
just have to tell you something.” She sat down in a nearby chair.
“What’s
wrong?”
“Its not really wrong.” Ariel played with her purse, “Its just not something I was expecting.”
“Are you
sick?”
“No, no.
Not really.” She licked her lips and stood up, pacing in the small area, “More
like pregnant.”
Larry stood
up and closed the door, “Pregnant? Like baby inside there?” he pointed towards
her stomach.
Ariel
nodded, “Yeah, another baby. I found out this morning.”
Larry sat
back down, “I just don’t know what to say.”
“You’ve got
a daughter my age, another about to graduate high school. A
son in middle school.”
“Yeah I
do.” Larry looked down at his desk, “Lets wait to tell
everyone. I mean, I don’t want to get this out incase . . .”
“Yeah I
understand.” Ariel stood up, “I’m gonna go. I have to
pick some stuff up for Cassie’s next pageant.”
“I’ll see
you when I get home, then we’ll come back up here for the show.”
“Sounds great.” Ariel leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, “I love you Larry.”
“I love you
to Ariel.”
Oh, can’t
you see it baby
You’ve got me going crazy
Maggie
entered the house, placing a bag of groceries down on the counter. She tossed
her keys on the table and began to unpack the bag.
She turned
on the radio and heard the song playing. “Conner.” She
said to herself. The last time she heard this song, and thought of him, things
hadn’t gone as planned.
“I won’t, I
refuse to let myself get hurt again.”
The back
door slowly opened, not making a sound. Someone stepped inside, closing the
door, the click it made as it closed caused Maggie to jump and turn around.
“I heard
the song while I was driving home.” He told her as he stepped forward, “I saw
your car in the driveway and decided I had to take a chance.”
“A chance?”
She could feel her heart racing, she wanted this to be
true. She wanted him to want her. She wanted him to be ready to take a chance
on their love.
“Yeah.
Well if you’re willing to take a chance on me.” He rubbed his hands together
nervously.
“Conner,
you have no idea how willing I am.” She said as she stayed next to the counter,
afraid to move. “Please tell me I’m not dreaming.”
Conner took
a step forward, taking Maggie’s hands in his, “Honey, you are not dreaming at
all.”
“If this is
a dream I never want to wake up.” She felt tears in her eyes as he closed the
space between them.
“You never
have to worry about that.” Conner cupped her face in his hands, “I love you
Maggie Williams. Nothing, and nobody is going to keep
me from you ever again.”
“I love you
to Conner.” She was about to say more when she felt Conner’s warm, soft lips on
hers.
Wherever
you go
Whatever you do
I will be right here waiting for you
Whatever it takes
Or how my heart breaks
I will be right here waiting for you
DI—Laura’s
Office
“Ms Davis, these just arrived for you.” the secretary brought in an
arrangement of roses.
“Thank you Mary.” Laura got up searched for the card.
My darling,
even though we’re no longer together I wish you the best on this the most
romantic of days. Christian
Laura studied the card for what seemed like the longest time. What
would prompt her first husband to send her flowers, on Valentine’s Day no less.
“Laura, you’re here.” John stood at the door, “I wanted to talk to
you.”
“Come on in John.” She sat down, “What’s going on?”
“You told me to decide what I want.” He sat across from her, “Even
though you and I have this connection,
“What are you saying John?”
“I’m going to go back to
“I don’t know what to say John.” She leaned forward on the desk, this
is not how she expected things to go, she never
anticipated that he would stay with
“There’s nothing you can say. I just wanted to tell you my next book
might be a little late because of all of this.” John stood up, “Who sent the
roses?”
“Oh my first husband. And
thank you for the notice.”
“No problem.”
