Episode 4.03

Mexico City Hospital

Maggie Williams-Lane wrapped her sweatshirt around her body to keep out the chill she was feeling. Her hands felt ice cold, and her eyes sore from crying. She had never seen anything like this before, not even when dealing with that psychopath Grace Waterside.

She paced up and down, rubbing her hands together, waiting for news.

“Maggie?” Lysa McKay stood in the doorway, her eyes wide and red from the strain of crying.

Maggie stopped, turned around slowly, looking at the daughter of the man she loved. A young woman who looked so stressed, from lord only knows what sort of things she had been put through, “Lysa, you’re alright!” Maggie pulled the young girl into her arms and held her tightly.

Lysa hugged Maggie back and began crying once again, “He’s—there was so much—blood.”

Maggie pulled back, “Oh honey.” She smoothed Lysa’s hair, “The important thing is you’re alright.”

“But, I mean, how can anything be alright after, after all that we saw!” Lysa tried to hold back tears as she looked around, when her glance landed at the other doorway.

Maggie turned towards where Lysa’s glance was and saw Conner McKay standing there, “Thank God you two are safe.”

His arms were open for only a minute before Lysa and Maggie filled them with themselves.

The Garden’s Hotel—Private Beach

The sun was bright above as Siobhan Lane stretched out the lounge chair. A cool breeze floated over her body, just before a shadow fell.

“You’re in my sun.” She covered her eyes to look up at the intruding figure. “Good morning Elijah.”

“Good morning Siobhan.” He sat on the warm sand next to her, “I know this may seem abrupt however I was wondering if perhaps you’d wish to accompany me parasailing this afternoon.”

Siobhan sat up and smiled, “I’d enjoy that.” She pulled her brown hair away from her shoulders, “Though I must warn you I’ve never done it before.”

Elijah stood up, taking her right hand in his and kissing her fingers, “That’s perfectly alright. I’d be more then happy to teach you.”

Siobhan felt a chill go down her spine even though her cheeks were flushed with a fresh blush. “That would be wonderful.”

Elijah smiled, “Then meet me at the docks at one.”

“I will do just that.” She called out as he walked away.

Williams House—Cassie’s Bedroom

Cassie walked into her room, trying to balance the towel on her head and a copy of a fashion magazine in her arm. She closed the door, and locked it. She closed her blinds except for a small sliver of light breaking through.

She released her blond hair from the towel and the damp locks fell on her shoulder as she picked up her hair brush and hair dryer to straighten her hair.

She expertly worked her hair until it was all dry and began working on the particular’s of the style.

Once she was done placing the pins and decorations in her hair she took out her glitter hair spray and went over her hair.

“Cassie?” Gary called out as he knocked on her door.

She rolled her eyes and went to the door, popping her head out, “What is it Gary?”

“When’s this Jeff guy showing up?” He crossed his arms over his chest and looked up at his sister.

She smiled and laughed, “Well kiddo, he’ll be here in like an hour. Why?”

“No reason, I’ll go let Dad know since we want to talk to him first.”

Cassie grabbed his shirt, “About what?”

“Nothing, we just want to know his intentions.” Gary nodded and pulled out of her grip.

Gary, he’s just my friend. There are no other intentions!” Cassie called out down the hall, just as Ariel came up the stairs, “Ariel please talk Dad and Gary out of this.”

Ariel laughed, “That won’t be happening. They’ve got there mind’s made up.”

Cassie sighed, “Wonderful.”

“It’ll be fine. Well as long as Jeff doesn’t say the wrong thing that sparks your father’s desire to get a shot gun.” Ariel leaned against the book case and smiled, “Just don’t run off and marry the kid, I think you’ll be fine.”

Flight 865 To Pinőn Hallow

Conner looked over and saw that Lysa was fast asleep. He brushed the hair from her face and watched her for a moment before turning to Maggie who has since began focusing on the movie playing. “Thank you for everything Mags.”

She turned to him, “I would do anything for you Conner. I wasn’t going to let you run off to Mexico on your own anyways.”

Conner took her hand in his, “I don’t know what I would do without you in my life. I don’t want to know what that would be like Maggie.”

“Conner, what are you saying?” She felt his grip get tighter as she watched him take a deep breath.

“I want you to marry me Maggie.”

“Are you proposing, right here, on the airplane?” Her eyes were wide with shock.

Conner nodded, “If there was space I’d get down on one knee and all but anyways, Maggie will you marry me?”

Her eyes were brimmed with tears, and a hand covered her mouth as she took an uncertain breath, “Yes, of course Yes Conner!” She threw her arms around him and kissed him.

Nebraska’s

Christian Quick sat at the table, scanning the door waiting with great anticipation for the arrival Laura Davis. He knew he could go over some papers regarding Chad’s trial but that just didn’t feel like the right thing to do. They had only spoken through the phone and e-mails since he arrived in town to help her nephew. Finally he would be face to face with her, the one that got away.

Laura Davis opened the glass door and stepped into the familiar restaurant. She held her purse tightly in her hand as she removed her sun glasses and looked around the room, it was late afternoon, not really a lunch crowd and not a dinner rush just yet. She spotted him, his dark hair, charming smile, and dimples that made her melt.

“Christian! It’s so good to see you.” Laura walked over with open arms, “I must thank you again for helping my nephew with this preposterous charge.”

Christian hugged his ex-wife and breathed in the familiar scent of her perfume. “Well you know I’ve always been willing to do anything you’ve asked of me.”

Laura pulled back and smiled, “You’ve always been my favorite ex.”

Christian laughed as they took there respective seats, “So why the face to face?”

Laura placed her purse on the table, “I wanted an honest answer on what you think Chad’s chances of getting out of this are.”

Christian looked at his glass of water, swirling it inside the glass, “Well, honestly I would have to say it’s fifty-fifty. It could go either way. It all depends on what happens with the prosecution’s case, and how I have to turn it around.”

Laura nodded, “And you’ve met Kyle Roberts the ADA in charge of the case, what do you think of him?”

“Honestly, I think he’ll pull out all the stops. Especially since I’ve heard Kathryn Layden’s brother Preston has been on him and the PHPD since the murder to find the guilty party.” Christian brought the water glass to his lips.

“Do you think Chad’s guilty?”

Christian never got to take a sip of his water as he locked his eyes with his ex-wife, “Honestly, I don’t know. There’s a lot of circumstantial evidence that points towards him. But Brighton Simpson claims he saw the murder and saw Chad kill her. However, considering he’s up on fraud and kidnapping charges, he’s not a reliable witness.”

Laura nodded as she listened, “Will Chad go up on the stand?”

Christian folded his hands over his plate, “I don’t know yet. We’re going to wait and see what happens with the prosecutions case first.”

Williams House

“Daddy, please let us leave we have reservations at Ken and Sue’s for dinner.” Cassie folded her arms over her chest as she tried not to wrinkle her white dress.

“Dr. Williams, I promise to that nothing bad will happen to Cassie tonight. She’s one of my best friends and I wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to her. Just name a time for when she should be home.” Jeff smiled proudly, sure he had won the man over.

Larry narrowed his eyes, “Fine,” he looked over at Cassie, “You just be home before lunch tomorrow. I know if I gave you and earlier curfew it wouldn’t happen. Just don’t get into trouble.”

Cassie hugged her father, “Don’t worry, nothing bad is going to happen.”

Flight 865 To Pinőn Hallow

Maggie and Conner had fallen to sleep shortly after he proposed, Lysa’s sleep became interrupted as her dream turned into a flashback of what had just happened.

Clint pointed the gun towards Conner and Lysa, and just as he pulled the trigger Maggie pushed towards him and knocked him on his side. His aim off and the bullet just grazed Conner’s shoulder as he pushed Lysa to the ground.

The hot piece of metal went right towards Brent James, who stood in shock—never realizing he’d been the one shot right through the heart.

“Brent!” Lysa cried out.

Conner sat up startled and shook Lysa, “Sweetie, wake up.”

Lysa opened her eyes and looked around, realizing she was on the plane, “Oh Dad.”

“Baby girl, what’s wrong.”

“I dreamed about what happened last night. I can’t get it out of my head. The way Brent just stood there.”

Conner wiped away his daughter’s tears, “It’s alright baby girl, none of the men in that group are going to hurt you again. I promise.” He pulled her back into his arms and looked out the window, wondering if Sean had been stupid enough to stick around Pinőn Hallow.

Alex Bowen’s House

Sean opened the back patio sliding door and walked into Alex’s house. “Bowen! Where the hell are you?”

Alex walked down the stairs, wearing nothing but his boxers, “What is wrong with you McKay?”

“Doc’s in jail, in Mexico.”

Alex went white as a ghost as he held the banister, “How the hell did that happen?”

“My brother and his bitch of a girlfriend went and found Lysa. Doc’s in jail waiting to be extradited to the states, after he faces a murder charge there.”

“Who the hell did he kill?” Alex grabbed a sweatshirt that hung on the banister and pulled it on.

“His son.” Sean’s own confusion came out with his words.

Alex turned and looked at Sean, “He had a son?”

Sean nodded, “Doc is also known as Clint Nevada, therapist at Memorial and more notably as Carlton James, the man who bought Claudia and Lysa.”

“Fuck! We’re screwed McKay! All because you brought you’re niece into this!” Alex charged towards Sean who ducked, “NO, we need to come up with a story, a plan or we’re going to be facing a shit-load of jail time.”

Sean leaned against the banister, “We could say he was blackmailing us into this.”

“With what information? That we like young girls?”

Sean rolled his eyes, “Alright point taken. I don’t know. I just know we need to get out of town before Conner is back and out for blood.”

Alex looked out the window at his backyard, “Damn you Doc, damn you.”
