Episode 4.15

Caspian Vineyard

Maggie looked around the ballroom of the main house. Elijah stood in the corner watching as she jotted down notes.

“I take it this is to your liking?” Elijah’s soft accent floated across the room.

Maggie looked, “More then I could’ve dreamed. Thank you so much for allowing us to have our wedding here.”

“It’s my honor. When I talked with your wedding planner I knew I had to allow this.”

“I was starting to wonder if it would happen on such short notice. I mean its only a week away.”

“Nigel will take care of everything. When you walk in, you’ll feel like a princess.”

Maggie took out a piece of paper, “This is the guest list. Small, but meaningful.”

Elijah studied the names until his eyes focused on one, Siobhan Lane. “That’s what’s important, to have those that care for you, with you on your special day.”

Maggie twirled around, radiating with joy, “Its going to be perfect.”

“Have you told your fiancé yet?”

Maggie nodded, “He knows this is what I wanted. I just have to let him know its for sure.”

“Then go to him, like I said Nigel will take care of everything for you.”

“Thank you.” Maggie paused, “What should I call you?”

Elijah blushed, “Just call me Elijah, that’s all that’s necessary.”

“Thank you again Elijah.” Maggie gave him a quick hug before leaving the grand room.

Dan Adams Apartment

Abby and Dan stared at the television, trying to focus on the local news. It didn’t matter, all they could think about was Sam. They had been up all night long on the phone with him, until he finally fell asleep. Thankfully his friends Jeff and Ricky were with him, but still the murder of Pam was too much to fathom.

Abby finally got frustrated and turned off the television, “We can’t just sit here and pretend our brother didn’t just loose his first love.”

“What are we suppose to do Abby? Sam doesn’t want to come back here. I mean this is where they met.” Dan rubbed his neck feeling the stress he had building up.

Abby looked up at the ceiling, “They barely had any time together.”

“They’ve been together the same amount of time you and Ethan have.”

“In retrospect, it doesn’t seem that long at all.”

Dan stood up and walked to the kitchen, “It hasn’t been that very long.” He looked in the fridge and took out a bottle of orange juice.

Abby pulled a pillow closer to her body, “In the time that Sam’s been gone, you fell in love with Ciel, I fell in love with Ethan and got married.”

“And cheated on him with Chad Davis.” Dan took a long drink of the juice.

Abby shook her head and bit her lower lip, tempted to curse her brother out. “You think you know what my feelings are but you don’t big bro.” She stood up, throwing the pillow down on the couch and picking up her purse from the coffee table, “You know what Dan, I hope to God you never have to feel the pain that Sam is feeling because knowing you can never ever be with the person you love more then anything in this world can partially kill you.”

Dan sighed, “Abs, I’m sorry.” He pulled his sister into a hug, “I know you love Chad, but you did pick Ethan.”

“That’s why I said goodbye to Chad.” She hugged him back, her eyes brimming with tears, “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.”

Dan smoothed her hair back, “Its alright sis, you did what’s right for you. I promise.”

“I hope to God your right because one of us needs to be happy.”

“I’ll find the right woman. I just won’t know it when I do.”

Hallow Hills

Doug Davis opened the nursery door expecting to find his wife, and child. Yet it was empty, the drawers half open, clothing missing. He ran into the hall, “Adel!” He called out towards every door through the way.

Jeff opened his door, his travel bag swung over his shoulder as he put his sunglasses on, “Adel left big brother.”

Doug stared at his brother; “You just let her walk out of here with Isabella?”

Jeff nodded, “Yeah I did.” He started to walk towards the staircase, “Oh those papers I left on your desk last night, did you sign them?”

Doug’s mouth gaped open, “My wife just ran out of here and you want to know if I signed the papers for the McClintock merger?”

“She’s not my wife, so yeah.”

“Not that it matters right now, but yeah I signed them.” Doug pushed passed Jeff and made his way to the bedroom; “I need to call the police now.”

Jeff watched his brother walk away and then took a set of papers out of his bag and studied them for a moment. Decree of Divorce and then looked down at his brothers signature on the bottom.

Caspian Vineyard

“Maggie, why are we meeting here?” Siobhan asked as she stood outside of her car, near the main house. “This place is really creepy.”

Maggie cringed, “It’s perfect. I was talking to the owner earlier today, and this is where Conner and I are getting married.”

Siobhan cocked her head to the side, “How, this place has been abandoned for years.”

“A new owner. I met him this morning. It’s looking to make this vineyard the premier spot for romantic memories in the state. Especially since it will take a few years before it can really produce wine. It still has the look which is good, which is actually just perfect for what I want.”

“I think I’m lost.” Siobhan looked around sure the place was nice. She knew this it was after all her favorite place to just be.

“Tomorrow, ten am, be here.” Maggie looked around one last time, “I have to go finish a few more things.”

Siobhan stood shocked for a few minutes as her friend walked down the drive, “Wait, tomorrow?” She finally called out.

Maggie turned back and smiled, “Yeah, tomorrow!”

Siobhan leaned against her car, as a chill came over her in the warm Colorado air. For a moment she was sure someone was watching her. She turned around just in time to see the leaves of a nearby bush rustle with the wind.

Elijah stood on the third floor of the house, looking out of the window, down on Siobhan. His heart beat quickly as he reached out and touched the glass. But he couldn’t be face to face with her just yet. She might get scared and run away. And that was the last thing this prince wanted from the woman he loved.

Dan Adams’ Apartment

Ethan opened the door of the apartment, not expecting the silence the floated along the living room. “What’s wrong?”

Abby looked up at her husband and then down again. Her stomach in knots, not only from her brother’s loss, but also her betrayal. “Do you remember Pam Mitchell?”

“Sam’s girlfriend? What about her?” Ethan sat next to his wife and looked at her brother.

Dan looked up from his folded hands, “Sam called us and um, she was murdered last night.”

“What? Why?” Ethan kept his eyes on Dan, rather then look at his wife.

“Apparently her older brother murdered their parents and just got out of prison and hunted her down. She witnessed her parent’s murder which caused her to have multiple personalities.”

“Poor Sam, what’s he going to do with out her?”

Abby looked at her husband, “He’s leaving Ginger Falls. Other then that he’s not sure yet, and I’m not surprised by that at all.”

Williams House—Cassie’s Bedroom

Cassie tossed clothing into different suitcases as she sang along to the CD that was playing. “I’m coming clean.” Escaped her lips as her younger brother Gary stood in the doorway watching his older sister, “So let me get this straight. We have to leave for Pinőn Hallow in two hours, because even though you can’t move into the dorm until the day after tomorrow, we have to be there. What am I missing?”

Cassie turned down the stereo and pulled him into the room, closing the door behind him. “You really want to know what’s going on?

“I asked, didn’t I?” He crossed his arms over his chest and cocked his head to the side.

She sighed, “Maggie is going to kill me if Daddy finds out about this or if she finds out I told you cause she wants it to be a surprise.”

“You’re not telling me what I think your telling me are you?”

“Maggie and Conner are getting married tomorrow. That’s why I’m insisting that we leave tonight. Maggie moves the day up cause of where she’s having it. Plus she thinks that it adds to the mystery.”

“At least the family will be there this time, right. Cause that wasn’t the case with the first husband, Kent was his name right?” Gary sat on the bed and picked up one of her stuffed animals.

“Kevin, he writes country music in Nashville. Actually I have his latest song on my iPod. It’s called Ophelia Belle.” Cassie took the stuffed animal from her brother and put it in the suitcase.

Gary leaned against the footboard and looked out his sisters window to the suburban street below, “Dad’s gonna flip I mean, we’re gonna be in the car for a few hours with Ariel and our baby brother Hardy. It’s gonna be a long drive.”’

Cassie nodded as she placed a few more items in a nearby box, “I know but this time things are going to be better on all ends. Maggie is going to marry the man of his dreams. I’m going to start college. Before we know it you’ll be in high school. Our lives are good. What could go wrong?”

Dominican Republic

Jeff Davis walked into the lavish hotel and searched the lobby for a sign of her. Nothing, as he approached the desk he caught the sounds of a child laughing in his ear. He turned and saw Adel holding Isabella as they returned from outside. His eyes locked with Adel’s and her smile faded.

A young woman took Isabella from her and vanished towards the elevators as Jeff came towards Adel. “What are you doing here Jeff?”

“I thought you might need this.” Jeff reached into his briefcase and took out the divorce papers he’d had drawn up.

Adel took the papers and looked them over, “Doug signed these?”

Jeff nodded, “When he found out you’d left him, he said it was over.”

A sadness came over her as she read the papers, “I guess I’m in the right place at the right time then.” She started to walk away, “Thank you for these Jeff.”

“Adel wait.” He grabbed her forearm and looked in her eyes, “Doug has never deserved you Adel and this here shows you what his true feelings are. I’m staying here in this same hotel in case you need me. Just find me for anything you need, anything Adel.”

Her eyes focused on the ground, “I know that Jeff. I know.”
